Welcome
Great entertainment PR takes more than time: it takes attentive listening to our clients, captivating conversation with journalists, formidable writing abilities, relentless follow-through, and dedication to working as hard as you do, whether you’re performing and recording music, writing books, creating videos, developing products, producing shows, or touring throughout the world.
This is what you want us to do.
About
Elizabeth Waldman, President
Through more than 25 years of experience in media relations, Elizabeth has developed a creative approach that is born of both the art and the craft of publicity. Armed with solid industry knowledge and a vast network of contacts, she arrives at solutions based on a delicate interplay of the intuitive and the tried and true. At the heart of this highly personalized approach are her skills as a good listener and her artistic vision.
Elizabeth earned a degree in Theatre and Dance, studied drama in Ireland, appeared in Chicago Off-Loop theatre productions, and acted in nationally syndicated radio plays produced by National Radio Theatre. While at NRT, she moved into production work, research, script writing, grant writing, editing, and publicity. She later returned to Ireland, earning a certificate at the Yeats International Summer School in Sligo. She considers her accomplishments as an artist the foundation of her approach to working with others.
Waldmania PR today represents a natural and happy evolution from Elizabeth’s previous activities and experiences, which also included positions in media relations at WFMT-FM (Chicago’s fine arts radio station) and the station’s sister company, Chicago magazine, the Ravinia Festival, the Oregon Bach Festival, and the Chamber Music Series at the University of Oregon. For a period of time, Elizabeth presided over her own concert artists’ management, with a roster of classical and jazz musicians.
Elizabeth’s media placements in print, broadcast, and online include People, USA Today, USA Weekend, Time, Newsweek, The Today Show, Good Morning America, Live with Regis and Kelly, the Tamron Hall Show, Reuters TV, NPR’s All Things Considered, Huffington Post, Associated Press, Entertainment Weekly, Us Weekly, The New York Times, New York Daily News, New York Post, Newsday, Washington Post, Los Angeles Times, L.A. On top of all that, she gets results. I have been continually busy with interviews, appearances and other PR opportunities since the day we began working together. I highly recommend her!” – Laurie Berkner
“Elizabeth was a pleasure to work with! She is efficient and relentless with her promotion. Even when she is busy, you feel you are the only person she is working with. Top Notch!” – GRAMMY nominated Wendy and DB
“We were so lucky to find Elizabeth at the start of our career. She has without doubt helped spread the word on Milkshake, and along the way she has become a good friend and confidante. We have sincere admiration for her drive, dedication, and love for what she does, and who she works with. She has to truly believe in a project or person to work with them, and we’re honored to have her as our publicist.” – Lisa Mathews and Mikel Gehl of Milkshake
“Elizabeth Waldman is the hardest working PR person I’ve ever had the pleasure of working with. Aside from her vast knowledge and years of experience, she truly takes a personal interest in her clients. She has opened many doors for me in all forms of media and has been invaluable in furthering my career as a writer/musician. She has longstanding relationships with her own contacts who obviously respect her judgment, as do I. She is a true professional and has given me 110 percent of her talents. Thank you, Elizabeth!” – David Weinstone of Music for Aardvarks and Other Mammals
“Elizabeth Waldman works harder for her artists than anyone I’ve encountered in the music world, and the results she gets reflect that. Better yet, she does it all with heart, compassion, and kindness!” – Steve Denyes of Hullabaloo
“Working with Elizabeth Waldman is a dream. I first connected with Elizabeth in my role as a radio show/podcast host, seeking music for my show. I was immediately amazed by her responsiveness, vast knowledge, and sincere dedication to her clients. She creatively finds ways to spotlight their projects and consistently follows up with potential placements. Now I am lucky to be one of her artist clients and have found working with her on the other side of things to be equally excellent. She is a terrific writer, detail oriented, and effective! Our first PR campaign together was a wonderful success, and Elizabeth could not be easier to work with. All of that, plus she is a truly lovely person!” – Dana Cohenour of Dana’s Music Playground
“Waldmania PR is a trailblazing force in the children’s music genre, delivering unmatched expertise and creativity in the realm of public relations. With an extensive network of industry contacts, Waldmania PR secures prime opportunities for their clients, while Elizabeth’s commitment to highlighting quality family artists adds that special touch. Trustworthy, professional, and dedicated, Waldmania PR is the ultimate choice for artists and labels looking to make a profound impact in the world of children’s music. “Elizabeth is one of the hardest working people I know! I’ve been so grateful for her gracious and patient guidance, as well as her constant commitment to excellence and professionalism. I definitely feel the difference that having her on my projects has made, and it’s so nice that the process has been so enjoyable along the way, too! Admiration and gratitude abound.” – Kelli Welli
“Elizabeth is professional, warm, and has extensive experience in the family media space. It’s clear that she has an incredible work ethic and can get a great deal of high-quality work done quickly and efficiently. When working with Elizabeth, I am confident that all of the media shared is beautifully written, communication is swift, and my music is accurately and professionally represented. She is a gem!” – Stephanie Leavell
“Elizabeth Waldman is absolutely wonderful to work with. Her many years of experience working with children’s music artists has allowed her to build up an extensive network of contacts, where she has earned the trust and respect of reviewers, podcasters, radio stations, and the press. She is efficient, hardworking, and professional. I highly recommend Elizabeth for promoting children’s music.” – Jenn Cleary
“Elizabeth is the best! She works tirelessly for you and gets results. She has done an amazing job getting my music noticed and appreciated, and I would highly recommend she do the same for you!” – Jamie Broza, Good Mood Records
“Elizabeth Waldman’s wonderful writing ability and tremendous marketing skills resulted in excellent and far-reaching reviews in the Los Angeles Times, Washington Post, and other high profile publications. More importantly, however, for me, she demonstrated the sensitivity of an artist in her understanding and appreciation of the music. She truly believes in the value and importance of the music and musicians she represents. In this commercialized and formulaic world, Elizabeth provides a genuine and honest voice for unique and beautiful work, bringing a refreshing current into the mainstream.” – Timmy Abell
“I wanted to take this opportunity to thank you for the utterly fabulous and professional job you have done this past season with the California Youth Symphony as Publicity Director. The numerous citations in the press, as well as the listings for concerts (always a chancy proposition, as we know), were always there, and your dedication to your work and to the group is an inspiration to me. Your personal support has also meant a great deal to me. As we all know, there is fierce competition among Youth Symphonies for audience growth. CYS has continued to lead the field in this respect due in large part to your efforts. Audience numbers have continued to rise at the Flint Center, and we are reaching more people than ever before. I often consider the job of Publicity Director to be the second-most important one in the organization (sorry!), and you are doing a superb job at juggling the many aspects of this demanding work. You have my total support and gratitude for a job that is expertly done. Having been in the business for over 20 years now, I have worked with numerous publicity directors and assistants, and you are definitely a cut above the rest! Keep up the good work for our fine organization!” – Leo Eylar, Music Director/Conductor, California Youth Symphony
